Job Purpose / Mandate

Based in the GTA, this Sales Professional will support and build upon an existing dealer network of channel partners or HVAC contractors. You will have experience working with multiple business channels (manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors) and will leverage those channel partners to identify potential customers, open doors and advance past the ‘gatekeepers’. You will be responsible for building a strong sales funnel while increasing the number of active dealers. As a true “Hunter” of new business, you have a proven track record and a talent for seeing and creating opportunities. You must be a confident cold caller, possessing strong organization and follow- up skills. You excel at developing new business with new customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute plans to add new dealer partners, introducing and marketing residential dealer finance programs to a wide variety of home renovation businesses.
  • Build and support a network of channel partners including HVAC contractors, new home builders, and property managers;
  • Provide marketing initiatives, sales training, and admin support for new and existing dealers;
  • Achieve results against strategic and financial objectives;
  • Maintain a high level of dealer activity to ensure adequate program support;
  • Deliver regular program information, updates, and promotions to the dealers;
  • Utilize company CRM to track, update and maintain dealer activities, projects, targets, and contact information;
  • Increase sales with existing accounts and actively identify sales opportunities through consistent relationship management with Channel Partners and existing dealer base;
  • Share best practices with sales colleagues and collaborate with head office to improve processes;
  • Produce regular expense reports and other reports within a timely manner;
  • Uphold and embody company values in all work and interactions, contributing to a positive and supportive team culture.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in a sales role;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, Acrobat, and PowerPoint);
  • Effective written and oral communication skills;
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and drive a reliable road worthy vehicle;
  • Superior organization skills with an ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience in consultative selling and training services;
  • Ability to think outside the box;
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up required;
  • Experience in creating and managing a sales funnel;
  • Significant hands-on ability with computer applications;
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently;
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree.
